COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane is holding steady.
In Cochrane, there were a reported six active cases of the virus as of the end of the day Monday (Feb. 8). To date, 316 cases of the virus have been identified in the town— Two people have died and 308 people have recovered.
In Alberta over the last 24 hours, 195 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified after the completion of more than 7,000 tests.
The provincial positivity rate sits at 3.2 per cent.
There are 427 people hospitalized due to the virus, including 78 in intensive care.
In the last 24-hours, 12 additional COVID-related deaths have been reported. To date, 1,722 Albertans have died.
As of Tuesday (Feb. 9), the province has administered 124,300 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. To date, 32,700 people have been fully immunized with two doses of the vaccine.
There are 5,831 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
