COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has increased by one.
At the end of the day Wednesday (Feb. 10) the town has a reported seven active cases of the virus. To date 318 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Cochrane— 309 people have recovered and two people have died.
In Alberta over the last 24 hours, 351 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified after the completion of 10,000 tests.
The provincial testing positivity rate currently sits at 3.5 per cent.
There are 397 people hospitalized due to the virus, including 71 in intensive care.
The province reported an additional 16 COVID-related deaths. Those who died were between the ages of 53 and 97. To date, 1,744 COVID-related deaths have been recorded in Alberta.
The province has administered more than 135,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. To date, more than 42,100 Albertans have been fully immunized with two doses of the vaccine.
There are 5,501 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
