As one of the final top four contenders in Kraft Hockeyville, the Town of Cochrane will illuminate the Jack Tennant Bridge and The Station in vibrant red lights to rally the community for its bid.
The title of Kraft Hockeyville includes a hefty $250,000 reward, alongside the opportunity for the selected community to host a pre-season NHL game. If Cochrane wins, it plans to upgrade the 50-year-old Cochrane Arena, better known as the ‘Old Barn.’
The funds will be directly headed towards enhancing its facilities to create more opportunities for Cochrane and the surrounding area.
Public voting will be open from Mar. 29 to 30, giving all members of the community the chance to contribute to Cochrane’s bid in Kraft Hockeyvill.
The Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge and The Station’s lights will remain illuminated in red until Mar. 31, the day after the voting period ends.
