Back-to-school season is just around the corner, and the Cochrane and Area Family Resource Network (FRN) is helping families get ready with its annual Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, August 23.
The free, interactive event brings together a wide range of community organizations, youth-focused services, and recreational programs—all in one place.
“The Back-to-School Fair is a fantastic way to connect with local resources while making it fun for the whole family,” said Kim Krawec, Manager of FCSS for the Town of Cochrane. “Whether you’re looking for after-school programs, health and wellness support, or just want to explore what’s available in our community, this event brings it all under one roof.”
Open to students from Pre-K to Grade 12 and their families, the fair will feature:
- Opportunities to connect with local agencies and youth service providers
- Family-friendly entertainment, including life-size games, pony cycles, ride-on cars, glitter tattoos, and a back-to-school photo booth
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SLS Centre (800 Griffin Road E). Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
