International Eating Disorder Awareness week starts today, Feb. 1.
The international campaign, which spans until Feb. 7, take aim at fighting the myths and misunderstandings that surround anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified).
The Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta is hosting many free virtual and by donation sessions throughout the week, including a class called Hope in Motion (Move Through Anxiety) — a free-form "ecstatic dance practice" that includes guided breathing — today at 6:45 p.m. MST.
