The Paisley Boutique will be partnering with the Cochrane Activettes to raise funds for the local non-profit organization during the upcoming annual fashion show.
“The Activettes have been looking for new opportunities to fundraise, we have been seeing a downturn in our donations in this economic climate,” explained Kathy Hubman, one of the organization’s members.
“This event is great for the Activettes – we don’t need to establish an event on ourselves so that makes it a lot easier to fundraise so we can focus solely on the fundraising.”
This will be the sixth annual fashion show for the boutique, with all proceeds going to the Activettes this year.
“People can come and check out the fashion show because it is supporting local businesses and charities. It is a good opportunity to meet other women form the community and it is a great opportunity to learn more about the Activettes,” Hubman said.
The Activettes have been an operating non-profit organization in the town since 1978, dedicated to helping Cochrane and the community with various projects including the Cochrane Food Bank, Christmas hampers, and the staff also acts as owners and operators of the Clothesline used clothing store.
The Paisley Boutique fashion show will be hosted at the Cochrane RancheHouse on April 8 and 9, with doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per ticket available to purchase individually or as a table. Tickets include a meal, the fashion show, door prizes and giveaways – with a bar open for the duration of the night.
For tickets, contact the Paisley Boutique at 403-932-4222 or visit the store in person, located at 312 5 Ave. W, Cochrane.
