Cochrane RCMP responded to a collision this morning at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Highway 1 near Hermitage Road. Fire and Emergency services were also present on scene.
One person has been confirmed deceased, according to a press release from Cochrane RCMP.
“Cochrane RCMP send their condolences to the families and loved ones involved in this incident,” read the release.
One lane of Highway 1 westbound is currently closed and drivers are asked to proceed with caution.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision. No other injuries have been reported as of press time. Updates will be added to this article as they become available.
