COCHRANE— The fire ban has been lifted for the town of Cochrane effective as of Monday (April 19) morning.

Citing dry and windy conditions, the Town originally implemented the ban on April 1 in the wake of the large grass fire west of Cochrane near the Ghost Station Gas Bar and the Wildcat Hills Gas Plant, which were both evacuated as a precautionary measure.

There are currently no fire bans in effect for Rocky View County.
