Two members of the Cochrane Fire Fighters’ Association have been awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals.
Capt. Jory Jenson has more than 13 years as a paramedic and firefighter. He has been actively involved in various charitable aspects of the Cochrane Firefighters’ Community Foundation.
Senior firefighter Jared Wallace is approaching eight years of service in Cochrane as a paramedic and firefighter.
He has shown leadership in helping to further the firefighting capabilities in the Town of Cochrane in an effort to enhance the current levels of service.
A total of 60,000 medals will be given to Canadians until Feb. 28, 2013.
