A permanent post-and-rail fence will soon be installed along Jumping Pound Creek in Bow Meadows, aimed at preserving the integrity of the east berm and protecting the surrounding riparian ecosystem.

The Town of Cochrane’s Parks and Open Spaces team will replace the existing temporary fencing to safeguard the sensitive natural area and its vital vegetation.

“We appreciate your cooperation in respecting the new fencing and following all posted signage when visiting the creek,” the Town shared in a recent Facebook post. “Together, we can help preserve this beautiful natural area for all to enjoy.”

Installation is scheduled to begin in July.
