The Cochrane Valley Folk Club (CVFC) typically asks audiences to join them to listen to some great tunes, but for Nov. 29 they are asking people to attend their Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The board of directors of the CVFC will be holding the AGM at Legacy Guitar and Coffee House. They are looking to fill board positions for the upcoming 2015–2016 season and also meet with people who would like to volunteer this year.

“We couldn’t do it without the volunteers. They are really one of the most important parts of the Folk Club, and the support of the community,” said Angus Wilson, artistic director of CVFC.

Wilson said at the meeting they would be discussing goals for next year, going over numbers and talking about where they are so far this season.

They will also be open to nominations for new board members, and he stressed they are always looking for volunteers each year to help out with the shows.
