A suspect in a string of break-ins in southern Alberta has been arrested after violating bail.

RCMP arrested Chaylee Eagle Plume Bruised Head, 36, of Blood Tribe First Nation, in Lethbridge on July 10.

A warrant had been issued after Bruised Head “defeated her court ordered electronic monitoring device,” police said.

Bruised Head was awaiting trial on 32 charges for alleged offences in Calgary, Okotoks, Turner Valley and other southern Alberta municipalities, including Cochrane.

She faces two additional charges of failing to comply with a release order and was remanded into custody after a judicial interim release hearing.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, July 14.
