Lace up your shoes and get ready for the 17th annual Footstock Race next weekend.
The two-day event invites fitness enthusiasts and families of all ages to come attend a variety of races, cheer on friends or family, and explore Cochrane during their visit.
The races include a kids’ triathlon, a family five-kilometre, five- and 10-km run/walks, and the individual and team duathlons. The duathlons feature a six-kilometre run followed by a 40-km bike ride, finishing with another six-kilometre run, set aside for participants of 16 years and older.
Last minute race package pick-ups open at 6 a.m. on June 4 at the Festival Finish Line Area for Saturday’s races and 6 a.m. on June 5 for the kids’ triathlon.
For those racing, iPods, headphones or similar devices that inhibit the ability to hear surrounding sounds are not permitted.
Online registration closes May 31 at midnight and Footstock takes place in Cochrane on June 4 to 5 at the Rodeo Grounds and Big Hill Leisure Pool off of Fifth Ave.
