Kids will do just about anything for ice cream in the summertime.
And Cochrane municipal enforcement officers are on the lookout for such sweet-toothed minions caught in the act of doing good deeds throughout the town.
“MacKay’s approached us with an idea to help reward kids when we see them doing something good,” said Sgt. Charlene Ruttle with municipal enforcement in a recent press release from the town.
The idea was churned up by MacKay’s Ice Cream proprietor Meghan Tayfel, who felt it would be a great idea to reward well-behaved Cochrane kidlets with a cool, sweet treat during these summer months.
It could be for using crosswalks, wearing bike helmets, picking up trash or walking dogs on leashes, among other good deeds and model behaviours.
