Father Scollen Council #8256 has announced plans to host the St. Mary’s Charity Golf Tournament July 13 at the Cochrane Golf Course.

“This is the first time we’ve held the tournament,” said tournament chair Bernard Levasseur.

“Money (raised) is being raised for the youth in the community and going back to scholarships and bursaries through the Knights.”

The shotgun/best ball tournament has openings for 72 golfers and 22 extras for dinner.

Cost is $75 for golfers, which gets you a tee-time, goody bag and choice of a prime rib or stuffed chicken dinner at newly-opened Killarney’s Irish Pub and Restaurant following the round.

There will be prizes at every hole and everyone wins a prize at the tournament, Levasseur said.

Along with participants, the tournament is looking for sponsors. Call the parish at 404-932-2944.
