This Christmas season the Friends of the Nan Boothby Memorial Library are offering the community a few ways to do some holiday shopping while helping their local library at the same time.

They are currently running their third annual Christmas raffle until Dec. 18 and will also be having a weeklong Christmas Book Sale starting Nov. 28.

“It is an affordable way for people to help out,” explained Anne Beck, publicity coordinator with the organization. “All of the funds go to the library. That is the purpose of the Friends, is to raise money to support the library and encourage more people in the community to use the library.”

Tickets for the raffle are $2 and there are five prizes that will be available to win, including gift baskets, art and a quilted table runner.

The library book sale will have all Christmas themed books, CDs and DVDs, according to Beck, who said people often find some great stocking stuffers at the sale.

The items that will be available are all donated over the year and Beck said all of the items they have for sale are in very good shape.
