The brand new Farmhouse Cafe officially opened up in Cochrane on July 31.
Located on 118 First Ave W facing the highway, this brand new cafe was created by Farmers Leaf, a cafe and market shop filled with local vendors selling fresh food.
The new cafe makes all their food from scratch, incorporating a lot of the products from the market such as micro greens, freeze dried goods, and dairy products produced by local vendors.
“That's our goal is to just support small farmers and to support small business here in Cochran and and and then just bring healthy fresh nutritious foods to our community,” said co-owner Christina Ambrock.
The Farmers Leaf market itself has been running in town for about 5 months, and just recently decided to incorporate the Farmhouse cafe, offering a place for residents to support local vendors while also consuming healthy food at the same time.
“We always say that our vibe is like going to grandma's house,” Said Ambrock, “It's like going to Grandma's house on the farm. We’re very chill, we're welcoming, and we just want them to feel just at home as they come in.”
The new Farmhouse Cafe is currently open from Wednesday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and then from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
