MP Blake Richards is seeking public input to help inform the Canadian Government’s Defence Policy Review. The review will outline the future of Canada’s military defence strategy.

Richards has been critical of the Canadian Government’s decision to postpone more than $3.7 billion in spending for military equipment and reducing the total National Defence main estimates by more than $300 million.

Richards said that means halting projects like the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships, replacements for the CF-18s, the Cyclone Maritime Helicopter Project, and the Integrated Soldier System Project, just to name a few.

The Defence Policy discussion will be held Aug. 3 at the Cochrane Legion, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. To RSVP, or for more information call 1-800-667-0410
