The Airdrie-Cochrane Constituency Stampede BBQ happened today on Railway St. in Cochrane.
Hosted on behalf of MLA Peter Guthrie, the event included, food, drinks, music, hay bales, frisbees, and candy. From 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. crowds of folks from all ages showed up to get their BBQ on and jam out to country music while they munched.
Mayor Jeff Genung was on of those in attendance on Friday, and he remarked on the importance of events such as this for the community.
"Stampede has been alive and well in Cochrane," said the Mayor, "it's a good opportunity to connect with one another."
