The Children’s International Summer Village (CISV) Windsor Peace Bus will be passing through Cochrane for a visit this Friday and Saturday (Aug. 15-16).
The Peace Bus is made up of two separate 39-day cross-Canada tours. The bus brings several youth and adult leaders across the country as part of an adventure travel, leadership development and volunteerism journey.
During the trip, the group carries out community-oriented service projects which they have organized in the various communities the bus visits.
The youth also visit local CISV chapters around the county, of which there are 11, including one in Calgary.
On Aug. 16, the peace bus will be making a stop at the Cochrane Ecological Institute, where the youth will take part in a service project. They will then travel out to Ghost Lake to spend some downtime.
