Cochrane RCMP is investigating the theft of a truck from a driveway in the community of Bow Ridge.
The 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche was discovered missing by its owner the morning of Jan. 23. Dark blue in colour, the truck was parked overnight in the driveway in front of the house.
“The owners reported that the truck was locked, but a set of keys was stored on the property,” said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff of the Cochrane detachment. “The suspects broke into the garage and located the keys.”
There were no signs of forced entry into the garage, he added. Nothing else was reported missing from the garage.
At this point, no witnesses have come forward and no suspects have been identified.
Until the vehicle is recovered the investigation will be ongoing, Savinkoff remarked.
