Cochrane RCMP is investigating a vehicle theft that was reported the morning of July 1.

The car has been recovered, said Cpl. Troy Savinkoff of the local detachment.

“Our forensic and identification services team will be collecting fingerprints from the vehicle shortly,” he commented.

The 2011 two-door Honda Accord, white in colour, was taken from an alley-access driveway in the Glenbrook area of Cochrane during the night. The car was eventually located by the owner, who Savinkoff said used an app to track down an iPad that had been left in the vehicle.

The Accord was found in a public parking lot, said Savinkoff. He said there was no exterior damage to the vehicle.
