COCHRANE— On February 26, 2020, RCMP Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene of a homicide just southeast of Cochrane.
Police attended the scene and identified 24-year-old Sarah Rabik of Calgary who was found on Highway 8.
On Friday (June 25) Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged 60-year-old Debora Joyce Rabik with second-degree murder and indignity to human remains.
Following a judicial hearing, Rabik was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on Tuesday (June 29).
