Royal LePage Benchmark is hosting a family-fun Easter event, at the brokerage's office building on April 8.

From coloured eggs to the Easter Bunny, Royal LePage Benchmark Cochrane plans to host a fun-filled Easter event for families in Cochrane at their offices on April 8.

The free family event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the brokerage’s office building, which is located at 504 1st St. West.

Kids will have the chance to meet and take photos with Benny the Benchmark Bunny, play games, and win prizes.

Real estate agent with Royal LePage Benchmark and Event organizer, Natosha Wareham-Bakker, said Leading up to the event, there will also be a colouring contest, and the winner will receive a special prize.

“It’s a pretty cool prize,” Wareham-Bakker hinted. “I’ve seen it and I don’t want to reveal too many details about it, but it’s big.”

A picture of the prize can be found online by visiting bit.ly/3zlKQft or by picking it up in at their offices. All participants are required to drop off their completed works of art to the Royal LePage Benchmark offices prior to event day.

Alongside other events including their annual Haunted House during Halloween, and a special visit from the Grinch at the Whoville that could be located in their offices during Cochrane Light Up in December, the upcoming Easter celebration gives Royal LePage Benchmark Cochrane the chance to connect with the community post-pandemic.

“We wanted to have an opportunity to be involved in the community to get to know people, and have that face-to-face interaction,” Wareham-Bakker said. “And so, it’s great we have opportunities to meet in person and hang out.”

Wareham-Bakker said Royal LePage Cochrane enjoys hosting these free events for families as it allows them to provide a pleasant experience for children and adults alike at no cost, while remaining open to as many people as possible.

“I know some activities can get expensive, especially if you have more than one child,” Wareham-Bakker said.

For the offices at Royal LePage Benchmark, they hope to see the smiling faces of Cochranites come April 8. Wareham-Bakker said they want to more than a brokerage, and take a more active role by being an active member of the Cochrane community.

“We definitely want to be involved with the people around us,” Wareham-Bakker said. “And it’s not [that] we’re a bunch of real estate agents here, we live here, we work here, and we are part of the community too.

“We’re just excited to have people come out and visit us. It’s great to have people come in to the office and say hi, and we love to talk to people.”
