The Western Rockyview Parent Link Centre is offering support to families with special needs.

The Western Rockyview Parent Link Centre is offering support to families with special needs.

For families that struggle with meltdowns and tantrums, the centre is offering a free five-week group to give parents and caregivers tips and ideas to manage the challenges, encourage behaviours and cope with stress.

The first group was a huge success, according to Tessa Davidson, early childhood educator.

While there is no fee, organizers ask people register for the groups at 403-851-2250.

The groups will be on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. from March 16 to April 13.
