This party is going to the dogs… literally.

The Cochrane and Area Humane Society will be hosting a Christmas Party and Open House for the furry friends at the shelter next weekend to help the adoptable animals have a happy holiday season.

The party will host a variety of other activities such as a bake sale for all your holiday goodies, pet photos available with a professional pet photographer, and Norm’s Nook Pet Supply store will also be open, inviting guests to purchase a gift from the wish list for the homeless shelter pets to be left under the Christmas tree.

Party-goers are also encouraged to inquire about the adoptable animals and why the holiday season is a great time to adopt a new companion or to donate to help the animals in the shelter’s care this Christmas.

There will also be a chance to win exciting door prizes and a Spin the Prize wheel to win a prize for your pet.

The Cochrane and Area Humane Society Christmas Party and Open House will be on Saturday, Dec. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at the shelter, located at 62 Griffin Industrial Point. The pet portraits will be available from noon to 2 p.m.
