The Bow Valley Boot Stomp Country Music Festival is making a comeback in 2025 at the Cochrane AG society grounds.

Following the success of its inaugural event, the Bow Valley Boot Stomp is back and ready to turn up the volume on local talent, community spirit, and small-town charm. Set for July 18–19 at the Cochrane and District Agricultural Society grounds, this two-day country music festival promises even more music, more energy, and a deeper focus on showcasing emerging artists.

The 2025 edition will feature 21 musical performances across multiple stages, spotlighting homegrown talent and hosting a vibrant vendor village filled with local businesses.

“Boot Stomp is about connection-- between artists and fans, between neighbours, and between small towns and big dreams,” said Kailey Mitchell, founder of festival organizer Quirk Social. “We’ve built something different here, and the energy is undeniable.”

Inspired by Cochrane’s Western heritage and the town’s growing love of country music, Mitchell launched the first Boot Stomp in July 2024. The overwhelmingly positive response confirmed what many already felt: this town was ready for its own music festival.

“We'd like to see more people attend this year,” said Mitchell. “I think it's a continual growth opportunity and this is just the beginning.”

This year’s Boot Stomp brings a refined vision to the stage, with a renewed emphasis on spotlighting local and up-and-coming artists.

“We really spent time getting to know musicians, seeing them live, and curating a more intentional lineup,” Mitchell explained. “This isn’t just about entertainment-- it’s about giving talented performers a festival platform to grow and connect.”

The Friday night lineup will be headlined by Teigen Gayse, with Foxx Worthee and Hillside Outlaws also taking the Main Stage. Meanwhile, the Community Stage will feature Tyler Wood, Eden Taylor, Niko Locke, Luke James Bruce, and Turner Bates, followed by an after-party performance from Jacquie Daniels.

Saturday continues the momentum, with Cruz Vallis, Reed Salmon, Berlyn Broadhead, Nik Poli, Jasmyn Wright, and Samantha Lee performing on the Community Stage. On the Main Stage, festival-goers can enjoy sets from Jennie Harluk, Annika Catharina, Travis Dolter, and Kyle McKearney, leading into a headline performance by Tony Stevens. The evening will wrap up with an after-party featuring Cayell.

Boot Stomp isn’t just a concert; it’s a full festival experience. Returning this year are fan-favourite amenities and activities, including:

  • On-site camping
  • Food trucks & beer gardens
  • Barn dance after-parties
  • Braids & Waves + Mullet Bar by Chatters Cochrane
  • Croc charm bar
  • Custom bracelet station
  • DIY t-shirt press
  • Patch bar for your denim and gear

“This year is about growth-- not just in numbers, but in the quality of the experience,” said Mitchell. “We knew from day one of last year’s event that we’d be doing it again.”

The Bow Valley Boot Stomp continues its mission to celebrate Cochrane’s spirit and amplify the voices of rising country stars. For tickets and full event details, visit www.bootstomp.ca.
