Sport4Life Cochrane, the Town of Cochrane, and the Spray Lake Sawmill Family Sports Centre are teaming up to host the fourth annual Community Sport Volunteer Appreciation Night April 2.
The event is an opportunity for local sport organizations to honour their hard-working volunteers. Starting at 4 p.m. the event will feature a silent auction and dinner.
There will also be presentations from a variety of town organizations. The sports centre will talk about its new pool and curling rink construction. The Town of Cochrane will discuss its outdoor spaces plan. Town sport clubs will present their upcoming seasons. Sport4Life Cochrane will unveil a multi-sport program that will be running in 2017.
The event will also include an award ceremony for sport volunteers nominated by their organizations.
Thanks to local sponsors, tickets are only $10 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door. The event will be hosted at the Cochrane Royal Canadian Legion.
