The equipment will be used by medical crews to scan for multiple life-threatening medical conditions including: hemorrhagic shock, ruptured aortic aneurysms, assessment of various severe cardiac problems, and immediate signs of fetal compromise in acutely ill and injured pregnant women.

“The Rotary Club of Cochrane and the Kimmett Foundation donation will further assist STARS in its goal to provide the quickest and most appropriate medical intervention for optimal patient outcomes,” states a press release from the club.
