In a recent survey, Cochrane was rated third place for least regulated when it comes to residential development.
The survey was release on Oct. 25 by the Fraser Institute, rating municipalities in the Calgary-Edmonton corridor checking how strict residential development regulations are. Cochrane was near the top of the list in third place with Airdrie and Okotoks right behind in fourth and fifth place.
Rocky View County placed 11th on the list.
