The whirlwind just won’t stop for 15-year-old Cochrane singer/songwriter, Kaleigh Jo Kirk.

The Grade 10 Cochrane High student has freshly released three new country/pop songs, available on iTunes, as she continues to work with the Teen Collaboration Band — a collaborative project with other youth artists and through which she has churned out five classic rock tunes.

“I’m possibly looking at recording some more songs,” said Kirk, with respect to what’s to come over the next few months.

“I’m really getting into my guitar right now and trying to explore that a little more.”

The young songstress also plays piano, drums and other percussive instruments.

Kirk will also be making her way to Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, Calif. for the Fusion Music Festival on Nov. 3; she will be the only Canadian talent to perform at the all-teenage performer festival.

She is also enjoying her role as one of the Calgary 2012 Cultural Ambassadors; the goal of the non-profit organization, Calgary 2012, is to increase awareness about Calgary’s cultural richness and empower all Calgary communities to celebrate their cultural traditions.

Despite a jam-packed schedule, Kirk said she’s also enjoying her school activities and friends, including her role as Jo in the Cochrane High musical, “Little Women”; visit kaleighjokirk.com.
