Bio

Annelise (Lisa) Pollard was born in London, Ontario but has spent most of her life in Toronto. She credits “The Six” for teaching her map coordinates, how to drive defensively, and for her excellent parallel parking skills.

An avid thespian, Annelise first attended theatre school before becoming a journalist, and is proud to be a full ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Film, Television, and Radio Artists) member.

Annelise packed up her CRV and made the four-day drive to Alberta in 2022. She feels blessed to see breathtaking mountain views every day – although she dearly misses the Great Lakes. Annelise joins the Eagle as a spring/summer intern and hopes to soon carve out a career in digital journalism.

Annelise strives to put Cochrane on the map as a tourist destination as well as a great place to live.
