The event will offer a mix of fun and fitness for people of all ages, including an event for teams as well as individuals of all fitness levels.

“We wanted to make sure that we were able to offer something for everyone. And we have a deep connection with our local firefighting community here in Cochrane, so we knew we wanted to do something special,” said Stephanie Marrello, the Stop, Drop & Run fitness coordinator.

The Stop, Drop & Run event will host  an Individual Fun Run for ages eight and up with a $25 registration fee, where Participants can run solo and tackle three 1.5K loops with obstacles along the way.

There is also the Team Fun Run, where people ages eight and up can form teams of up to four people and divide the running and obstacle challenges for the price of $50 per team.

Then, there is the Kids' Obstacle Course for ages two to 12, where young participants can enjoy their own obstacle course without the running component for the price of $15.

Registration for the event does not include an auto-donation, and the SLS is encouraging community participants to donate whatever money they can to help support the Cochrane Firefighters Assistance Charitable Society.

“We have a tonne of first responders who come to SLS,” said Marrello, “So we've always wanted to make sure that we're connecting with the community as often as often and as many times as many times as we can.”

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking to have a fun time, this obstacle course and run caters to all ages and fitness levels. The Stop, Drop & Run Obstacle Challenge is about having fun and embracing the challenge, while also supporting firefighters and their families.
