Thieves steal valuables and memories from RVC home

The owners of a Rocky View County (RVC) residence in Springbank that was burglarized on Oct. 18 is making a plea to those responsible to return the memories stolen from their home.

The owners of a Rocky View County (RVC) residence in Springbank that was burglarized on Oct. 18 is making a plea to those responsible to return the memories stolen from their home.

Cochrane RCMP responded to the incident, which took place at a rural RVC house near the border of Calgary, to find several valuable, both monetary and personal, taken from the residence by two male suspects.

The item in particular the family at the home is asking to be returned is a laptop that held photos of their deceased son, who died in an accident.

The first suspect is described to have light skin colour, stand 5’9” to 6’, slim build, short dark hair and wearing a black jacket, light-coloured jeans, grey and black cap, black Puma shoes with a white stripe and carrying a backpack.

The second is also light skinned, 5’8” to 5’10”, slim build, short dark hair and wearing an orange construction safety vest, a grey, white and black hooded sweatshirt, dark-coloured jeans and Puma shoes with a black stripe.

Both are between the ages of 20-30.

In addition to the red Gateway laptop, the list of items stolen from the house includes a 60-inch LED TV, passports, credit cards, Apple iPad and a rare, red Fender Jazzmaster guitar.

Police are asking for anyone who may be able to identify the two suspects or have information regarding this incident to contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000.
