One person has been charged following a motor vehicle collision on Highway 22, north of Highway 8, on July 5.
Const. Rob Hawley of the Cochrane RCMP detachment said the incident, which involved three vehicles, is still under investigation. He added that one of the drivers has been charged with careless driving.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 22 were blocked for a period of time.
In a separate incident, investigation continues to track down a suspect in connection to a vehicle theft that was reported July 1, said Hawley.
A 2011 two-door Honda Accord was taken from an alley-access driveway in the Glenbrook area of Cochrane during the night. The car was eventually located by the owner, who tracked it down using an application that searches out Apple products.
Hawley said the detachment is waiting on results from forensic analysis as part of the investigation.
