Winter may not want to let its frosty grip go, but the authors of Wildflowers of Banff Park want to get Cochranites in the mood for spring, nevertheless.

Visiting the Nan Boothby Memorial Library on April 18, Ian Wilson and Jacinthe Lavoie will give a presentation on the best trails in Banff National Park to view wildflowers.

Wilson, a veteran of photography in northern Canada, has written five bestselling, outdoor adventure books and is a native of Canmore.

Lavoie, also a Canmore resident, is a trained researcher and has authored 12 educational books and was an elementary school teacher for years.

The presentation starts at 7 p.m. and is free for all to attend.
