Tournament of Aces accepting applications from non-profits to become beneficiaries

It might be hard to imagine golf in Cochrane this week, but it’s not too early to start planning to get involved in a popular tournament that could help raise funds for your charity.

It might be hard to imagine golf in Cochrane this week, but it’s not too early to start planning to get involved in a popular tournament that could help raise funds for your charity.

Organizers of the 17th Annual Monumental Tournament of Aces put out the call this week, announcing they are looking for non-profits to apply to be beneficiaries.

The Monumental Tournament of Aces is scheduled to hit the Links of GlenEagles on October 5th, 2024 and the planning committee is excited to support the amazing community of Cochrane once again with this fundraiser.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Cochrane and supported by the Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation, (aka pond hockey aficionados) this annual event has raised $1.25 Million for local initiatives while also providing a one-of-a-kind ‘closest to the pin’ style of golfing that requires no previous golf experience and is for anyone seeking friends, fun and has a desire to give back to the community!

The planning committee is in the process of determining a beneficiary for the 2024 tournament and is opening the application process to any local non-profit organization or local project that will benefit the community.

Any group or individual applying is requested to submit a response to the Rotary Club of Cochrane answering specific questions regarding the cause and/or project. All details are available at rotarycochrane.ca.

Applications must be submitted to the Rotary Club of Cochrane no later that March 1st, 2024. A beneficiary will be selected in mid-March 2024. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

Go to rotarycochrane.ca for submission details.
