Town of Cochrane sees active COVID-19 cases rise to 67

COCHRANE— The Town of Cochrane saw a slight uptick in active COVID-19 cases, seeing a rise to 67 on Wednesday (Dec. 9). To date, there have been 164 cases reported in the town, including 97 people who have recovered.

COCHRANE— The Town of Cochrane saw a slight uptick in active COVID-19 cases, seeing a rise to 67 on Wednesday (Dec. 9). To date, there have been 164 cases reported in the town, including 97 people who have recovered.

In Alberta in the last 24 hours, 1,460 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified and 16,800 tests have been completed. In total there are 20,199 active cases in the province. The positivity rate in the province sits at 8.9 per cent.

There are currently 685 people in the hospital, including 121 patients in intensive care units.

A reported 15 people have died from the virus, bringing the provincial total of COVID-19 related deaths to 653.
