Improvements are coming to Cochrane roads, sidewalks and crosswalks as Town crews hit the streets for regular maintenance and infrastructure repair.

The Town announced earlier today that road crews will be busy working throughout the community over the coming months.

“Regular maintenance and upgrading are an important part of improving safety and extending the life of Cochrane’s roadways,” said roads manager Wally Hume in a press release. “The majority of this work is done in the summer months.

"Many factors are considered such as public safety and accessibility, sound financial management, environmental respect and actioning community concerns.”

Some of the work includes but is not limited to: crack sealing, crosswalk, curb and parking lot painting, line painting, manhole repairs, pothole and asphalt repairs, sidewalk replacements, solar-powered crosswalk installation, storm sewer maintenance and street sweeping.
