If you’re still yearning for more after the Calgary Stampede, the 41st Annual Tsuu T’ina Nation Rodeo and Powwow is running until Sunday at the Redwood Fair Grounds.

Attendees can enjoy a weekend full of action-packed rodeo, where contestants vie for prize money to qualify them for the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) in Las Vegas.

The rodeo features over $100,000 in added prize money. Other added attractions include: Powwow, ball tournament, golf tournament, and a concert by Martina McBride.

McBride rose to stardom in the late ‘90s, starting out with a more traditionalist approach and later moving into pop-friendlier territory.

The country singer-songwriter is known for such hits as “My Baby Loves Me,” “Independence Day,” and “Life #9.”

The INFR’s mission “…is to provide, promote and preserve the advancement of professional Indian rodeo by empowering families, youth and communities through positive role modeling, educational opportunities, competition, culture and tradition.”
