Like the consistent weather theme Cochrane and area has seen this winter, Environment Canada is predicting anther big swing in the weather forecast for this week.
There is a 30 per cent chance of flurries starting at noon today, with a high of -12 C and a low of -22 C for Cochrane that could dip to -30 C due to the wind chill. Environment Canada warns that the wind chilled weather could result in frostbite.
Wednesday's weather looks to be slightly warmer, with Environment Canada predicting a high of -7 C with a wind chill contributing to a low of -26 C.
But then the weather takes a spring swing, with Thursday's high looking to be +2 C. Friday will kickoff a weekend of warm weather with a high of 10 C that will carry into Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will see temperatures in the highs of 7-9 C.
According to Environment Canada, the average high for this time of year is typically 1.9 C, with the average low being -9.6 C.
