Newly named snowplows will soon be clearing roads on Cochrane’s streets, but first residents need to vote on their favourite monikers.
Grade Three students are pitching names for the town’s fleet of four snowplows, including two new ones, and the street sweeper. The naming contest ends Oct. 18.
The top names will be chosen by the town and put to a vote by residents between Oct. 23 to Nov. 6. The Town is looking for creative names that reflect Cochrane’s values.
The winning names will be announced in November.
The classes with the winning names will be visited by their snowplow.
