Banff-Airdrie MP wins award third year in a row.

Fireside community residents are fighting to keep the small-town feel in Cochrane by opposing a potential six-storey building.

The Cochrane Lioness Club donated $2,000 to help build a playground at Ranche View School.

The Town of Cochrane’s summer camps will be hosted at the RancheHouse this season in light of the renovation taking place at the town’s ClubHouse.

Buckler Farm, located just north of Cochrane, had some special visitors on June 8. A tour group from Japan spent the morning exploring the u-pick fruit and vegetable operation and learning about the agricultural industry in Canada and Alberta.

The Town of Cochrane will be hosting Kids Can Catch! at Mitford Ponds on June 18. This free event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and allows kids and families the opportunity to fish with a community mentor.

Rancher, adventurer and big game guide Robert Walter (Bobby) Turner died May 19 at the age of 82. Bobby grew up on a ranch off of Lochend Trail 15 miles northeast of Cochrane with his parents and three older sisters, Marion, Olive and Gwyn.
