There is something supernatural happening around Cochrane. A new television series, Wynonna Earp, based on the graphic novels by Beau Smith, is currently wrapping up filming in the Cochrane area.

The house a man was killed in last month was destroyed in a fire late Monday (Feb. 1) night and RCMP investigations are underway. At around 10:45 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a house fire in Morley on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.
