The Cochrane Ideas discussion group will be exploring the right of people to die with dignity and societal attitudes toward physician-assisted dying at its next meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 12, at the King Solomon Lodge, 120 Centre Ave.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is currently investigating an outbreak of E. coli cases in the Calgary Zone of AHS. As of Feb. 2, the outbreak includes 14 confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7.

The house a man was killed in last month was destroyed in a fire late Monday (Feb. 1) night and RCMP investigations are underway. At around 10:45 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a house fire in Morley on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.
