The Rotary Club of Cochrane’s new president Steve Cook has announced that the club will be holding prospective new member meetings for people interested in joining the club.

Cochrane councillors Jeff Toews and Gaynor Levisky presented a motion of notice Aug. 11 during town council suggesting a number of community enhancements for new developments in the town of Cochrane.

The 100-km Sears Great Canadian Run will be rolling through Cochrane Aug. 23. The run is a long distance running relay in support of the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation.
