It’s safe to say that hunting season in and around the Cochrane area is now in full swing, as of Nov. 1.

The RCMP are working to identify the human remains found outside Cochrane on Oct. 13. A recent medical examiner’s report said the deceased is believed to be a caucasian male between the ages of 18-30 years.

Cochrane forestry company Spray Lake Sawmills (SLS) has been ordered by the province to stop logging in the Castle wilderness area following the first stage of the their harvesting plan.
