The PEDIGREE Foundation has announced it’s expanding into Canada to launch its first-ever Canadian Grant Program to support to eight animal shelters, including the Cochrane & Area Humane Society (CAHS).

“Honestly, it’s been difficult to practice away from our home field during the construction process,” Knitter admitted. “But we’re excited to bring football back to Cochrane High School. It’s something we’re looking forward to, whenever it happens.”

Their first competitive win in Tier I out of the way, Cochrane will now advance to the provincial quarterfinals. They'll host the Henry Wisewood Warriors next week, either on Friday or Saturday. 

Cochrane Fire Department and RCMP members will be working with the Legacy Place Society from Nov. 3 to 6 collecting goods for their fourth annual food drive to help give back to local first responders, EMS workers, and veterans.

“If there’s a way to present the information to the public better, I am all over that. We need to do a different job in that transparency report, to create understanding,” she said.

“It’s a cultural experience mixed with soccer,” he said. “I wanted to do something at Edge before COVID, but [the pandemic] obviously put us back a couple of years.”
