Chairra Nicolle, who helped steer Helping Hands through a tumultuous two years during the COVID-19 pandemic, is now lending her altruistic nature and non-profit expertise to reach people in the community through FCSS, a department of the Town of Cochrane.

“Not everyone needs transportation every day but there are people trying to get to chemotherapy appointments weekly and dialysis and such. I'm pretty sure we're going to get busier.”

Pauline Staples is celebrating her younger sister Patricia Dawn’s life by hosting a memorial motorcycle ride that kicks off in Airdrie on Aug. 9, with proceeds from the ride being donated to the Calgary Distress Centre.
