A father of two said he is running for school trustee representing Cochrane because he would like to see improved COVID response, more collaboration with teachers, particularly over the proposed K-6 curriculum and enough schools for the growing population.

“It is as big a win as we’re going to get in our town, and you watch everyone in the shop be a little prouder about the job we’re doing,” he said. “It’s definitely a big honor, getting gold in your own town when you’re not the biggest game in town.”

“A huge thank you to Cochrane,” Sharman said. “Our team really appreciates you and it just reiterates what an amazing community we have.”

“We want to create the most comfortable environment for everybody,” she said. “We work really hard at making sure everyone looks and feels as beautiful as they are, and we will be completely honest with you too. We will not sell you something if we don’t like it on you.” 

Residents of Bragg Creek have been showing their support for a local family that is picking up the pieces after their new home was lost to a fire earlier this month.

Alex Reed believes his business expertise and years of experience will continue to serve Cochrane if he is re-elected after Oct. 18.

“CP advised that there was a male in medical distress on the tracks. It is believed he was hit by an earlier train, not the one that actually passed by and reported seeing him," said RCMP Corporal Tammy Keibel.

Athletes of all ages took part in the Cochrane Endurance Project’s first open cross-country club meet of the season in Canmore Sept. 25.

After a stellar season of undefeated men’s competitive soccer, the Cochrane Rangers are looking to jump up a league next year.
